Tanwar will assume office management responsibilities in addition to his general corporate and venture capital practice

Am Law 100 firm Polsinelli is pleased to announce the appointment of Prithvi Tanwar as the new Office Managing Partner for the firm’s Boston office. Tanwar is the first Office Managing Partner for the Boston office, which opened in 2016.

Tanwar is a seasoned attorney focused on providing external general corporate counsel to early and high-growth technology companies throughout their lifecycles. As a strategic legal advisor, he assists founders, boards and executive teams with general corporate matters, including intellectual property related issues, financing and exit events, and everything in between. He is part of Polsinelli’s national Venture Capital & Emerging Growth Companies Practice

“Prithvi is not only an impressive attorney, but he is a natural leader who demonstrates deep commitment to his clients, peers and colleagues. I’m honored he’s agreed to serve as Office Managing Partner in Boston,” said Polsinelli Chairman and CEO Chase Simmons. “Prithvi is a strong representative of the firm and carries out our core values in all that he does. He will do a great job leading our Boston team and growing our office and capabilities in the New England region.”

The Office Managing Partner role is filled by leading attorneys across the country in Polsinelli’s 21 office locations. Tanwar’s new responsibilities will include day-to-day management of the Boston office, with an energized focus on community and civic involvement for the office and its attorneys.

Tanwar will help establish the office’s goals and strategic plans. He brings experience to this role as he and Polsinelli Shareholder Matthew Eckert built their venture capital practice from the ground level beginning over a decade ago.

Prior to his career in law, Tanwar advised Fortune 500 clients as a management and technology consultant, leading implementations of information technology solutions and refining business processes. He obtained his B.S., summa cum laude, from Drake University before earning a J.D. from Boston University School of Law. He is a five-time Massachusetts Super Lawyer “Rising Star” in the Business & Corporate Law category.

“I am committed to bringing to bear Polsinelli’s national platform and deep bench of subject matter experts to the visionary entrepreneurs, companies, and investors in New England that continue to build meaningful and valuable enterprises,” said Tanwar. “We have an incredibly talented group of attorneys and professionals in Boston and across the country who I am proud to call my colleagues. I look forward to strategically partnering with them on ways to carry their great work further for our current and future clients in the Boston business and technology community.”

Polsinelli originally opened its Boston office in 2016 to support demand for complex intellectual property and biotech matters. With a heavy focus on the region’s thriving biotech, medical device, software, engineering, and health care industries, the office has grown and continues to grow to include prosecution attorneys, litigators, IP professionals and corporate lawyers for a full-service, integrated approach. Polsinelli's Boston attorneys along with their colleagues nationwide offer New England-based clients a complete range of legal services that allow them to face the challenges found within their unique business environment.
