Am Law 100 firm Polsinelli welcomes Todd W. Betke as a shareholder in the firm’s national Securities & Corporate Finance Practice.

Based in Polsinelli’s Washington, D.C. office, Betke brings more than 20 years of experience representing domestic and international private equity and venture capital funds, hedge funds, real estate funds, funds-of-funds and Small Business Investment Companies (SBICs) in connection with the formation, operation, restructuring and liquidation of such funds.

“Todd  enhances our investment funds practice with his experience forming and advising funds targeting a variety of asset classes,” said Polsinelli Securities & Corporate Finance Practice Chair Kevin Vold. “We believe his particular experience advising sponsors of and investors in real estate funds, including those focused on opportunity zones, and SBICs, adds significant value to our clients in Washington and across the country.”

Betke also has extensive experience working with the general partners and management companies of private funds in connection with the formation and operation of such entities.

In addition, Betke has substantial experience representing private funds in connection with acquisitions and dispositions of portfolio investments, and he regularly advises funds-of-funds and other institutional investors in connection with investments in private funds.

Betke also has significant experience structuring international funds, particularly in emerging markets, including India, Russia, Central and Eastern Europe and Central and South America. He regularly works with institutional, multilateral and development capital investors in such funds.

Betke is a graduate of Chicago-Kent College of Law at the Illinois Institute of Technology, and received a bachelor’s degree from Colgate University.
