Am Law 100 firm Polsinelli is pleased to announce the appointment of Leslie F. Spasser as the new Office Managing Partner for the firm’s Atlanta office, which was effective January 1, 2022.

Spasser brings three decades of legal experience to the firm and is a member of Polsinelli’s Technology Transactions Practice Group. She has extensive experience providing strategic and tactical guidance on complex business transactions involving technology and related matters.

The Office Managing Partner role is filled by leading attorneys in Polsinelli’s 21 office locations across the country. Spasser’s new responsibilities include day-to-day management of the Atlanta office, with a focus on implementing the firm’s flexible return to work policy, promoting a collaborative workplace culture, and ensuring that the diversity of the office, at all levels, reflects the rich diversity of the community that it serves.

Since opening seven years ago, Polsinelli’s Atlanta office has grown into a full service office with 34 attorneys, including 18 shareholders. The firm has been honored numerous times by the Women in Law Empowerment Forum with Gold Standard Certification for incorporating women into the highest levels of firm leadership, a clear reflection of Polsinelli’s culture of recruiting, retaining and rewarding women as leaders.

Spasser’s extensive work supporting technology organizations has positioned her to handle cutting-edge transactions involving artificial intelligence, edge computing, new iterations of cloud-based services, and adaptive software. Her experience spans industries as diverse as media and entertainment, telecommunications, financial services, education, health care and automotive/mobility.

Spasser is a member of Polsinelli’s Board of Directors, the firm’s innovations committee and the technology committee.

“Leslie has demonstrated great leadership and I am pleased to see her grow into this position as our Atlanta Office Managing Partner,” said Polsinelli Chairman and CEO, Chase Simmons. “Her experience as a former in-house counsel will bring a unique perspective to her local leadership role and to our culture of client service.”

Spasser joined Polsinelli in 2018 and is a member of the bar in Georgia, New York and Virginia. She received her J.D. at New York University School of Law. She succeeds Brian F. McEvoy, who has served in the role of Atlanta’s Office Managing Partner since 2017.

“I am honored to lead Polsinelli’s Atlanta office during this pivotal time,” said Spasser. “I am looking forward to guiding our attorneys and staff through this cycle of growth and expanded opportunities for the Atlanta office.”
