Polsinelli Shughart PC welcomes Hannah R. DeLuca and Zachary R. Dyer to the firm as associates in the Business Department. DeLuca will assist clients with employee benefits and executive compensation matters. Dyer, a former insurance firm in-house counsel, will focus on insurance business and regulatory law issues for clients. Both will practice at the Plaza location of Polsinelli Shughart in Kansas City, Missouri.

About Hannah DeLuca
DeLuca will practice in the Employee Benefits and Executive Compensation Group. She works with public and private organizations in developing state-of-the art benefit programs and executive compensation plans. She also is an active participant in the firm’s Mergers and Acquisitions practice where she plays a key role in advising clients on the benefit aspects of those transactions.
DeLuca, who began her career in Dallas, Texas, has experience working with 403(b) plans, 457 governmental plans, 401(k) plans and ESOPs as well as non-qualified plans. She also has advised defined benefit retirement plans, including multiple-employer and union pension plans.

DeLuca earned her law degree in 2007 from the University of North Carolina. She also received M.A. and B.A. degrees from the University of Missouri-Kansas City.
About Zachary R. Dyer
Dyer will practice in the Insurance Business and Regulatory Law Group. He focuses his practice on representing insurance companies, producers and third-party administrators in property and casualty and life and health insurance matters. His work includes the regulatory and compliance aspects of the firm’s strong insurance industry and transaction work. He previously practiced as an in-house counsel for one of the largest independently owned retail insurance brokers in the U.S.
“My background as an in-house counsel gives me a unique perspective and understanding of the myriad of issues that insurance organizations face today,” Dyer said. “Joining Polsinelli Shughart will allow me to parlay that experience to the benefit of our clients.”
Dyer, a former Big 12 college quarterback, is a member of the Association of Corporate Counsel and the Kansas City Sports Commission. He earned his law degree from the University of Kansas School of Law in 2007. He also holds an M.S. degree in Education and B.S. degree in Business Administration from the University of Kansas.
