Polsinelli has been admitted to the State of California Bond Counsel pool. The Office of California State Treasurer Bill Lockyer conducted a comprehensive review of the firm’s capabilities through an application process. The announcement means that the State Treasurer’s Office will consider Polsinelli, among other firms, for bond and transactional work for the State of California.
“We’re pleased to be part of the pool of law firms considered by the Treasurer’s Office for bond and transactional work,” said Los Angeles Managing Partner Lisa Greer Quateman. “All of the attorneys in the Los Angeles office have experience working on California bond transactions. We’re excited about the opportunity to continue building this relationship.”
Quateman’s practice focuses on transactional and advisory work in the areas of finance, corporate and real estate. The Los Angeles Business Journal selected Lisa Greer Quateman as one of Los Angeles’ Top 100 Attorneys, and Quateman LLP was listed among the “100 largest women-owned businesses in Los Angeles.” The firm was California’s largest women-owned municipal bond counsel firm and recently joined forces with national law firm Polsinelli Shughart. The Treasurer’s announcement marks the 19th consecutive year that Quateman has served in California’s bond counsel pool.
Polsinelli’s attorneys in Los Angeles have experience with general obligation, revenue and conduit bonds in various sectors, including utilities, transportation, airports, ports, veterans’, pollution control, and economic development bonds. Lisa Greer Quateman and Partner Tim Reimers have extensive expertise as disclosure counsel, as well as serving as bond, underwriters’ and bank counsel. Senior Counsel Mike Connell is a recognized securities law expert. The firm’s public finance attorneys also specialize in health care and nonprofit finance, serving clients from several Polsinelli offices.
