Polsinelli environmental and natural resources law attorney Margaret B. LaBianca has assumed the chair of the Environmental and Natural Resources Law Section for the State Bar of Arizona after being elected by the Section membership.

“It is a great honor to serve the Section as chair,” LaBianca said. “I'm pleased to have the opportunity to help my bar colleagues stay abreast of the impact of new environmental laws, regulations and policies as they might affect our state’s business community.”

The Section is responsible for collecting and disseminating information pertaining to the practice of environmental and natural resources law through conferences and seminars, newsletters, papers and pamphlets. It also provides speakers to other interested professional groups.

LaBianca counsels clients on a broad range of regulatory compliance and strategic considerations with respect to development, operations and transactions. She has extensive experience working with clients involved in mining, renewable energy and other commercial interests. She frequently represents clients before government agencies and lawmakers regarding regulatory and legislative issues, as well as utilization of public lands.

LaBianca is also past Chair of the Bar’s Administrative Law Section and the Maricopa County Bar Association’s Environmental Law Section. She’s also active in the Arizona Mining Association.
