The Denver office of national law firm Polsinelli Shughart PC announced today that it has donated a truck-load of office furniture to help one of Colorado’s leading non-profit organizations. Desks, chairs and office furniture, which were once in the firm’s Denver office, have found a new home at Arapahoe House, the state's leading provider of drug and alcohol substance abuse recovery services.
The high quality cherry wood office furniture will replace or supplement office furniture for Arapahoe House employees at the organization’s 14 locations.
“Donations from local businesses are always appreciated, and in a year where the economy has caused considerable challenges for non-profits across the state, we especially thank firms like Polsinelli Shughart that give back in meaningful ways to the community,” said David Murphy, CEO of Arapahoe House. “Our staff will greatly benefit from the furniture donation, which also allows us to focus our resources in serving clients.”
Supporting the community is just one benefits of the donation to Arapahoe House. The donation of the furniture previously used in the firm’s former office space also provides credits towards LEED certification. Last month, Polsinelli Shughart announced that it had submitted an application to U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC) to receive LEED certification for commercial interiors at its new office space at 1515 Wynkoop St. in the historic Lower Downtown District (LoDo).

Arapahoe House is a nonprofit organization dedicated to providing accessible, affordable, and effective services for individuals and families with alcohol, drug or other behavioral health problems. The organization’s nationally-recognized programs are designed to give the more than 14,000 clients a greater chance of recovery.
