Am Law 100 firm Polsinelli welcomes corporate attorney Daniel A. DeChesaro as shareholder in the firm’s growing Phoenix office. DeChesaro joins the firm’s Corporate & Transactional Practice, as part of the national Business Department, bringing a deep background in mergers, acquisitions, financing and other business transactions.

DeChesaro focuses his practice on business transactions for clients across a diverse array of industries. He represents local and regional businesses in a myriad of corporate transactions, including mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, financing and other transactions. He supports clients through all phases of the business life cycle, from entity selection and formation, capital or debt raises, succession planning, sale and/or dissolution and the governance and commercial needs in between.

“With his diverse industry experience, Daniel brings a valuable perspective to our Corporate and Transactional Practice,” said Polsinelli Corporate and Transactional Chair Jonathan K. Henderson. “His experience in both the private practice setting and as General Counsel will be valuable insight for our clients. We look forward to the immediate impact he will make not only in Phoenix, but across the U.S.”

With over three decades of transactional experience, DeChesaro has extensive experience representing clients in private practice and has served as General Counsel of a public company after assisting with the acquisition of an iconic American company. He leverages his prior experience as General Counsel to provide business-savvy, practical advice to his business clients. As General Counsel, he was primarily responsible for building its legal department, implementing corporate governance processes and overseeing the legal matters involved as the company expanded its core business pursuits, including key technology-based operations. He also assisted the company in listing its stock for trading on the American Stock Exchange and navigated an SEC investigation.

“I am excited to bring my practice and experience to Polsinelli, where I can collaborate with leading transactional attorneys across the nationwide network.” said DeChesaro. “Polsinelli’s established Corporate and Transactional Practice both impressed and attracted me to the firm. Polsinelli’s widespread practice areas is a great fit for me and my clients as it allows me to fully service client needs.”

DeChesaro earned his bachelor’s degree from Colorado State University before obtaining a J.D. from the University of Arizona, James E. Rogers College of Law, summa cum laude.

DeChesaro joins a growing Phoenix office who recently welcomed real estate attorney and shareholder Bradley E. Wright and associate attorney Rachel L. Tenin

“We are happy to add Dan to our growing team in the Phoenix office,” said Polsinelli Corporate and Transactional Vice Chair and Phoenix Office Managing Partner Phillip P. Guttilla. “He is a great cultural fit who brings a wealth of experience and expertise.”

He also joins Polsinelli’s nationally recognized Business Department, comprised of attorneys who provide a range of legal services from selecting the appropriate choice of entity through exit strategies and everything in between during the life cycle of a business.
