Am Law 100 firm Polsinelli welcomes health care attorney Rachel Irving Pitts as Counsel. Irving Pitts joins the firm’s national Health Care Alignment and Organizations Practice, having a deep background in the health care industry. 

Irving Pitts focuses her health care practice on transactional and regulatory matters, including mergers and acquisitions, provider and service contracting, and regulatory compliance counseling. She helps clients navigate the evolving matters of federal and state laws and regulations to create compliant relationships and business structures to improve health care for clients and patients.

Irving Pitts represents hospital systems, long-term care, retail providers, individual providers and practice groups, management companies, independent practice associations and third-party administrators and payors. Her clients include private and publicly traded companies, non-profits, entrepreneurs and investment companies.

Irving Pitts regularly counsels clients regarding the corporate practice of medicine, licensing, and other regulatory issues. She has previously represented a private equity backed radiology services provider in multiple practice acquisitions and a Fortune 250 company on dozens of acquisitions and joint venture transactions for over 10 years.

Irving Pitts earned her bachelor’s degree from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champagne before obtaining a J.D. from Boston University School of Law. Prior to joining Polsinelli, Irving Pitts practiced for over a decade at another national law firm, was a law clerk for the Illinois Attorney General and worked for the Massachusetts Medical Society in its Membership and Legal Departments.
