Am Law 100 firm Polsinelli welcomes new shareholder Sarah K. Laird as the first real estate attorney to join the firm’s Nashville office. Associate attorney Brittany S. Macon also joins Laird on the move to Polsinelli’s nationally renowned Real Estate Practice.

Laird has extensive experience in a broad range of commercial real estate matters. She routinely assists with various real estate components of commercial transactional matters, including acquisitions and disposition of real estate, capital structuring, negotiation of financing documents, development agreements, easements, and covenants and reviewing and evaluating of property diligence materials
She represents investors, developers and operators of health care facilities, senior living communities, office assets, multi-family properties and various other real estate assets located throughout the United States. She also advises several large institutional investment funds focused on the health care sector. Laird provides guidance to clients on day-to-day operational issues associated with the development, ownership and operation of real estate assets.
“I am eager to join Polsinelli’s growing and nationally renowned Real Estate Practice,” said Laird. “My goal was to move my practice to a firm with a client-centric focus and cross-functional disciplines and I’ve accomplished this by making the move to Polsinelli.”
Laird earned her bachelor’s degree, magna cum laude, from Freed-Hardeman University before obtaining a J.D. from Vanderbilt University Law School. Before joining Polsinelli, Laird was a shareholder at Maynard Cooper & Gale, and was a partner at Bradley Arant Boult Cummings LLP prior to that. Laird is a member of Commercial Real Estate Women Network, American Bar Association’s Real Property & Trust Section, Nashville Bar Association and NAIOP, a leading organization for developers, owners and investors of office, industrial, retail and mixed-use real estate.
