Polsinelli’s Public Policy Partner Cybil Roehrenbeck Selected for the American Bar Association’s Standing Committee on Governmental Affairs
Polsinelli’s Cybil Roehrenbeck
has been appointed to the American Bar Association’s (ABA) Standing Committee on Governmental Affairs.
Together with Chair Russell Frisby and staff liaison David Eppstein, the committee works with the Government Affairs Office in implementing the ABA’s legislative agenda and advises that office and the Board of Governors on ways the to improve the policy-setting and implementation processes. The Government Affairs Office serves as the focal point for the ABA's advocacy efforts before Congress, the Executive Branch, and other governmental entities.
“I am passionate about the American Bar Association’s work to advance access to legal services, including its priorities to improve the criminal and civil justice systems and eliminate discrimination,” Roehrenbeck said. “I hope to contribute to the ABA’s important efforts in legal education and advocacy.”
At Polsinelli, Roehrenbeck provides federal government relations and regulatory counsel. Principally specializing in healthcare law and policy, Roehrenbeck works with legislators and regulators to obtain appropriate coverage and reimbursement for innovative healthcare technologies and services, often employing an interdisciplinary approach to address her clients’ regulatory and business challenges.
She is a member of the ABA Health Law Section, also serving as vice chair of the Washington Health Law Summit and the Health Law and Policy Coordinating Committee; the American Health Lawyers Association; the American Society of Medical Association Counsel; and the Women’s Leadership Council of Make-a-Wish Mid-Atlantic. Her prior experience includes serving as a lobbyist and attorney for the American Medical Association (AMA), legislative counsel on Capitol Hill, and associate with Watts Partners, a government affairs firm.
