AHLA’s Top Honors 2017 report names firm in top four across nine industry categories

Polsinelli is the second-largest health care law firm in the country, according to the American Health Lawyers Association (AHLA), and it earned top-four spots for the largest health care practice groups in the country in nine categories.

This is the eighth-consecutive year Polsinelli has been included on AHLA’s Top 10 Firms list, which is based on the current number of AHLA member attorneys at the firm (261). The firm has also been ranked in the top ten health care firms by Modern Healthcare for the past five years consecutively. The firm is ranked nationally in Health Care by Chambers USA (May 2017) and for having the best client relationships in the health care industry (BTI 2016).

“We have an established and talented team of attorneys coast to coast that is able to provide comprehensive legal services to health care providers across the country,” said Health Care Practice Chair Matthew J. Murer. “Rapidly expanding client needs have driven our strategic growth so we can continue to provide comprehensive support for our clients across all areas of the ever-changing health care industry.”

Polsinelli was recognized in many other categories in AHLA’s Top Honors 2017 report. The AHLA ranked the firm in the top four in the following practice group categories:
  • Antitrust (No. 3)
  • Business Law and Governance (No. 3)
  • Health Information and Technology (No. 2)
  • Healthcare Liability and Litigation (No. 4)
  • Hospitals and Health Systems (No. 2)
  • Labor and Employment (No. 4)
  • Life Sciences (No. 2)
  • Medical Staff, Credentialing and Peer Review (No. 2)
  • Regulation, Accreditation and Payment (No. 4)

Additionally, the firm was named the largest health care firm in the state rankings for Colorado (21 attorneys), Illinois (62 attorneys) and Missouri (88 attorneys). Polsinelli is on AHLA’s 100% Involvement Honor Roll list for sustaining AHLA membership for each of its health law practice group members.

Polsinelli’s team includes former in-house counsel of national health care institutions, the Office of Inspector General, and former U.S. Attorneys and Assistant U.S. Attorneys with direct experience in health care fraud investigations. The group also includes current and former leaders in organizations such as the American Hospital Association. A strong Washington, D.C., presence enables Polsinelli to have an insider’s view into health care policy and regulatory matters.
