Polsinelli Adds Recognized Energy Litigation Attorney To Denver Office; Ghislaine Torres Bruner expands firm’s litigation and energy experience for clients nationwide

Am Law 100 firm Polsinelli announced today Ghislaine Torres Bruner joined its Denver office as shareholder, bringing her extensive national and international experience in handling litigation and transactional matters for energy clients.

Bruner joins the large energy group already established in the Polsinelli Denver office. In August 2016 a team of seven attorneys joined the firm, all focusing on the energy industry. Bruner has more than fifteen years’ experience litigating cases relating to energy, oil and gas, environmental and natural resources, air quality, water quality, negligence, products liability, torts and appellate matters.

“Ghislaine is an experienced and recognized litigator with an industry focus that has been gained through years of time spent within the energy sector,” said Stacy Carpenter, Polsinelli’s Commercial Litigation Practice Chair who also practices out of the firm’s Denver office. “She will be a tremendous asset for our clients in Denver and across the nation. Her proven knowledge and ability to help clients navigate this specialized and ever-changing industry will only expand our capacity to serve as a trusted resource to our clients in the energy industry.”

Polsinelli’s national Commercial Litigation practice provides practical, industry-specific litigation strategies that are informed by substantive legal and procedural knowledge, real courtroom experience and a keen awareness of how legal outcomes can impact businesses’ bottom lines. The practice was named one of 2017's "Powerhouses" nationwide in Complex Commercial Litigation (one of only six firms nationwide) and a Standout in Everyday Commercial Litigation by BTI Consulting. In addition to many state and individual rankings by Chambers USA 2017, the practice is also currently ranked nationally as a Tier 1 firm for Commercial Litigation (U.S. News and World Report's "Best Law Firms", 2018).

“I am thrilled to join Polsinelli’s large energy group in Denver and across the nation,” Bruner said. “Polsinelli’s nationally-recognized strength in litigation will serve as a great resource for energy clients facing contentious legal challenges.”

Bruner recently received the Denver Business Journal’s Who’s Who in Energy Award. She is a member of the Women’s Energy Network-Greater Colorado Chapter Denver and serves as a Historian and Board Member for Colorado Ballet Auxiliary. A native Spanish speaker, Bruner leverages her bilingual skills to represent a range of clients in energy-related transactions or litigation.

She earned her J.D. from Shepard Broad College of Law at Nova Southeastern University and Master of Laws degree from Sturm College of Law at the University of Denver, Environmental and Natural Resources Law and Policy program. She also holds a Master of Public Health from Florida International University and a bachelor’s degree from the University of Michigan.
