Polsinelli earns high score on Human Rights Campaign Foundation’s Fourteenth Annual Scorecard on LGBT Workplace Equality
Polsinelli received a score of 85 on the Corporate Equality Index (CEI), a national benchmarking survey and report on corporate policies and practices relating to lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender (LGBT) workplace equality, administered by the Human Rights Campaign Foundation.
“We are pleased to see that the Human Rights Campaign Foundation recognizes Polsinelli’s continued emphasis on growing diversity and inclusion as core values for the firm,” said Jodie Hughey, chief human resources officer at Polsinelli. “In 2017 we will be adding transgender reassignment benefits and we will continue to put policies in place that enable all our employees to bring their best and most authentic selves to the workplace.”
Polsinelli’s score reflects a commitment to LGBT workplace equality, with respect to tangible policies, benefits, and practices. The 2017 CEI rated a total of 1,043 businesses in the report, which evaluates LGBT-related policies and practices including non-discrimination workplace protections, domestic partner benefits, transgender-inclusive health care benefits, competency programs, and public engagement with the LGBT community.
