Polsinelli welcomes experienced litigator Adam K. Grant to the firm as shareholder where he will practice nationally from the firm’s New York City office. From courtrooms to boardrooms, Grant serves clients in commercial litigation and white collar/government investigations, serves on the New York State Bar Association Committee on Electronic Discovery and is the first commercial litigator to join the New York office of Polsinelli.
“Adam represents another milestone in the growth of our New York City office and firm as a whole,” said Dan Flanigan, the New York Office Managing Partner and Chair of the Financial Services & Real Estate Department.
In addition to his experience in complex commercial litigation, Grant spent much of the decade representing corporations, charities, partnerships, executives and individuals in complex and high-stakes criminal and regulatory investigations conducted by the Department of Justice, the Securities and Exchange Commission, the New York Attorney General's office, various district attorneys' offices, and FINRA.
“We really needed someone of Adam’s caliber and experience in New York City,” said Litigation Department Chair Russ Jones. “Adam brings us a wealth of experience in litigation, E-discovery, and many other areas that we needed. I’m excited to see what Adam will do for our existing and new clients on the east coast and nationally.”
Polsinelli’s Litigation Department is quickly growing and nationally known. The firm represents clients in a variety of industries and focuses on these core areas: cyber security; false claims Whistle Blower actions; food litigation; intellectual property litigation; labor and employment; and M & A litigation.
“Polsinelli is known in the New York area primarily for its financial services reputation,” said Grant. “But anyone who knows the firm is aware of its rich litigation history. Combine that with its business-minded approach and I’m really excited to get to work with my colleagues across the country.”
Grant earned his law degree from The Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law, magna cum laude, Order of the Coif, in 2001, and his BA, cum laude, with highest honors in English Literature, from Vanderbilt University, in 1998.
Grant joins Polsinelli at an exciting time. Most recently, Polsinelli moved to 86th on The American Lawyer ranking of the top 100 law firms in the country. Additionally, for six years, The American Lawyer Magazine ranked Polsinelli as the fastest-growing law firm in America.* New York has been part of that growth. Newly expanded and relocated in 2012, Polsinelli attorneys in New York work in financial services, real estate & real estate finance, bankruptcy, intellectual property litigation, and other commercial litigation.
