BTI Litigation Outlook 2017 Distinguishes Eight Polsinelli Practice Areas
Polsinelli was designated today by general counsel as one of the top six “Powerhouses” in Complex Commercial Litigation.
As reported by BTI Consulting Group in its latest study released today – BTI Litigation Outlook 2017: Changes, Trends and Opportunities for Law Firms
– in addition to the Powerhouse selection, seven other Polsinelli litigation practice groups, including Intellectual Property, Labor and Employment, Class Actions, Securities and Finance, and Products Liability were included as “Standout” or “Honor Roll” practices.
“This ranking is a true reflection of how the firm approaches litigation,” said Commercial Litigation Practice Group Chair Stacy A. Carpenter. “We have listened to our clients and how they want to approach litigation. We understand our clients’ businesses, and we work hard to protect our clients’ investments and to ensure that the time and expense of litigation is in line with our clients’ objectives and expectations.”
BTI’s sixth annual series on trends in the litigation market uncovered how client behavior – and spending – is changing for 2017. This year’s study is based solely on in-depth interviews with leading legal decision makers. The comprehensive analysis trends data from more than 4,300 corporate counsel client interviews conducted over the span of 17 years.
“We congratulate all of our litigation groups that were recognized in this year’s BTI Litigation Outlook,” said Polsinelli Chairman Russ Welsh. “As a trial attorney myself, and now having led Polsinelli for 18 years, it’s gratifying to know that this distinction is based on feedback from clients of our litigation department who all of our attorneys work so hard to serve.”
The following Polsinelli groups were named in the 2017 BTI Litigation Outlook
- Complex Commercial Litigation
- IP Litigation
- Everyday Commercial Litigation
- Complex Employment Litigation
- Everyday Employment Litigation
- Class Actions
- Securities and Finance Litigation
- Product Liability Litigation

“To hear from our clients that we are a true partner is the best compliment we can get,” said Polsinelli’s Litigation Department Chair Russell Jones, Jr. “Our successes have earned the firm and our litigators acclaim in a range of industry directories and publications, but the most significant validation of our practice comes from clients who retain our litigators time and time again trusting we will deliver real answers to real challenges.”
