Polsinelli welcomes David Wilkinson to its Washington, D.C. office as shareholder where he will focus on commercial real estate finance and other financial services matters. Wilkinson has substantial experience structuring, negotiating and closing a broad range of commercial real estate financing transactions. Joining him is Real Estate Analyst Kathleen Iacone, who brings to Polsinelli a wealth of knowledge with more than 28 years of experience addressing the complexities of commercial real estate transactions.

“David is dedicated to resolving problems quickly, efficiently and creatively in a way that aligns with a client’s broader business goals,” said Dan Flanigan, Financial Services Department Chair.

Wilkinson has represented commercial banks, investment banks, life insurance companies, mortgage REITS, private equity funds and other capital investors involved in commercial real estate projects across the U.S. His transactional experience has spanned a variety of financial products, structures, industries and asset classes and includes originations, whole loan and portfolio sales, participations, syndications, servicing, securitizations, secondary market trading, workouts and restructurings of commercial loans, private placements and resales of debt and equity securities, joint ventures, interest rate derivatives, construction lending and mezzanine finance.

“The cost-efficient platform for providing client services, combined with the capabilities of an AM Law 100 firm, a commitment to commercial real estate finance as a core practice area and, frankly, nice people, ultimately led me to Polsinelli,” said Wilkinson. “The firm is recognized for its dedication to outstanding client service and its demonstrated strength in real estate finance, capital markets and financial services. I look forward to being a part of this terrific team, which in my opinion has the ideal balance of capability, cost-efficiency and personality.”

Wilkinson earned his law degree from Vanderbilt University Law School in 2000 and an MBA in Finance and Global Business from the University of Tennessee in 1997. He is licensed to practice in the District of Columbia, North Carolina and Virginia.

Polsinelli’s Real Estate Finance division has closed thousands of commercial mortgage loans secured by property in all 50 states, the District of Columbia, the U.S. Virgin Islands and Puerto Rico.
