Polsinelli welcomes senior technology attorney Dov H. Scherzer to the firm as a shareholder based in the firm’s fast-growing New York City office. Scherzer counsels clients on cutting-edge technology and privacy law matters, with a specific focus on global technology, outsourcing, Internet, and intellectual property transactions. He works with a wide range of clients, ranging from startups to Fortune 500 companies. Scherzer maintains a strong international practice and has been particularly active representing European, Indian and Israeli clients.

“I was attracted to Polsinelli’s growing New York City office and national footprint,” said Scherzer. “The breadth and depth of the firm’s platform, including its sophisticated health care, corporate, IP, privacy and data security practices, sold me on what we could accomplish together for clients. I’m really excited to be here.”

Scherzer earned his law degree from Boston University School of Law in 1989, where he was a member of the Law Review, and an M. Phil in English from Oxford University in 1986. Among other distinctions, he was selected for inclusion in Chambers USA, Technology and Outsourcing, 2013, and listed in the International Who’s Who of Telecommunications, Media & Technology Lawyers, 2015.

“Dov brings a senior level of expertise to our IP practice and we’re really glad to have him on board,” said Patrick Woolley, Life Sciences & Technology Division Chair at Polsinelli. “Our business model and culture attracts sophisticated, hardworking attorneys who understand their clients’ needs. Dov fits that bill perfectly.”

Polsinelli will relocate in December to more than 40,592 square feet across three full floors at 600 Third Avenue, doubling the office space to accommodate strategic growth. Polsinelli attorneys in New York work in financial services, real estate & real estate finance, bankruptcy, technology and outsourcing, intellectual property litigation, and other commercial litigation.

“Given the quality of our value proposition, we are not surprised, but we are pleased, by our growth in New York,” said New York Office Managing Partner Dan Flanigan, who also chairs the Financial Services & Real Estate department. “The space will accommodate 60 lawyers and based on past experience, we are likely to do that and more.”

Recently, Polsinelli moved to 86th on The American Lawyer ranking of the top 100 law firms in the country. Additionally, for six years, The American Lawyer Magazine ranked Polsinelli as the fastest-growing law firm in America.
