National law firm Polsinelli welcomes Garrett Parks to its San Francisco office as an associate where he joins the growing West Coast Labor and Employment practice. Parks’ practice focuses on employment litigation defense as he works closely with businesses and organizations on a wide range of employment issues.
“Garrett brings a wide range employment litigation experience to our group and he possesses a sharp focus on working with employers to develop efficient and effective strategies to resolve employment issues,” said Charles Thompson, Vice Chair of Polsinelli’s Labor & Employment practice, for the Western Region. “He’s a great compliment to our team as we move toward expanding Polsinelli’s Labor and Employment presence in California.”
Parks collaborates with and counsels employers to develop creative solutions for the complex and often sensitive workplace issues they face, and assists in instituting appropriate policies and procedures to avoid disputes and comply with both state and federal laws. Working with employers across nearly all industries, Parks brings a variety of notable experience to Polsinelli, from defending a Fortune 100 company in wage and hour class action litigation, to representing a Fortune 50 telecommunications company in an investigation before the California Public Utilities Commission, and successfully defending a local government unit against privacy and breach of covenant of good faith and fair dealing claims of former employee and failed U.S. Senate candidate, to name a few.
“Polsinelli is an exciting firm that presents an innovative and progressive platform for me to develop as an employment lawyer. I am looking forward to helping Polsinelli continue to grow and expand its San Francisco office,” said Parks.
The addition of Parks to Polsinelli’s growing, national Labor and Employment Practice increases the group to more than 50 labor, employment and immigration attorneys coast to coast. The practice serves clients nationally from Atlanta, Chicago, Dallas, Denver, Kansas City, Los Angeles, Phoenix, San Francisco, St. Louis and Washington, D.C. This year, Polsinelli is offering a complimentary webinar series “The Life Cycle of an Employee,” which throughout the year explores issues ranging from recruiting talent, training and development, performance issues to termination. The next scheduled complimentary webinar is August 25. For more information, click here
