Polsinelli welcomes attorney Grace O. Aduroja as an associate for the firm’s growing national Government Contracts Practice. She has experience successfully representing an array of clients in matters ranging from litigation for private companies and publicly traded corporations, to providing counsel for corporate executives under federal investigation.
“We are excited about building the government contracting capabilities in Washington, D.C. for the firm’s clients nationwide and internationally,” said Government Contracts Practice Chair Walter A. I. Wilson, who joined the firm in 2013. “Grace is a highly regarded young legal strategist. She’s bright, eager and enthusiastic, and an ideal fit for our group. We are extremely pleased to have Grace on our team.”
Polsinelli’s Government Contracts Practice has built a national reputation due to its attorneys’ skills in all areas of federal procurement and government contracts and for successfully helping domestic and international clients navigate through complex litigation matters before state and federal courts and administrative boards. In 2013, Polsinelli greatly expanded its government contracts capabilities nationally with the addition of four experienced attorneys who are recognized leaders in their field and deeply connected in Washington, D.C. They include Daniel J. Donohue, a shareholder who focuses on government contract matters; Claude P. Goddard, a senior partner who assists clients on government contracts; Steven J. Weber, a shareholder who advises clients on government contracts and construction matters, and Walter A.I. Wilson, a senior partner who advises clients on government contract matters and now leads the practice group.
The addition of Aduroja occurs during an exciting period of overall growth for Polsinelli, which has seen its national footprint expand to 11 states and 18 cities. The Washington, D.C. office, which opened in 2005, was recently ranked (Tier 1) by US News-Best Lawyers: Best Law Firms, for government relations in the District of Columbia.
Polsinelli also was recently recognized as the fastest-growing law firm in America during 2008 to 2012 by The American Lawyer. This year, the firm moved up to the 69th position from 78th in The National Law Journal’s ranking of the largest U.S. based law firms. The American Lawyer Magazine featured Polsinelli in its June 2013 issue.
“I am excited to have the opportunity to join the fast-growing Polsinelli law firm and team up with some of the country’s brightest legal minds,” Aduroja said. “I was particularly attracted to Polsinelli’s well-deserved national reputation for a sophisticated, business-minded approach to practicing law.”
Aduroja earned her law degree, cum laude, in 2009 from the University of Michigan Law School where she was a contributing editor for the Michigan Journal of Law Reform. She earned a B.A. in Journalism, cum laude, in 2002 from Wayne State University and was named the 2002 Journalism Graduate of the Year.
Prior to entering law school Aduroja served as an education beat reporter for the Chicago Tribune. At Polsinelli, she focuses on providing clients with straightforward legal and practice advice unique to the client’s industry. Aduroja’s experience includes general litigation with an emphasis on white collar, mass torts, legal malpractice and mortgage-backed securities litigation matters.
Aduroja is a member of the District of Columbia Bar Association and the Illinois Bar Association. In 2013, she was named among the top 100 mid-level minority lawyers in the Mid-Atlantic Region by Lawyers of Color.
