Polsinelli Principal Zuzana Ikels Joins Education Committee for the California Society for Healthcare Attorneys

Polsinelli Litigator Zuzana Ikels has been invited to join the Education Committee for the California Society for Healthcare Attorneys (CSHA).

Through her in-depth knowledge of federal and state statutes and regulations governing privacy and security, the healthcare industry, and ecommerce, Ikels guides clients’ legal strategies in high-stakes litigation.

“The health care industry is changing at an unprecedented rate and in fundamental ways,” Ikels said. “Today’s health care providers are being asked to do more with less and to reimagine how they deliver complex care that must be fully integrated with other providers. This association is dedicated to support every segment of the health care continuum and I am proud to be able to contribute.”

Founded in 1980, CSHA provides legal education, promotes the exchange of ideas and facilitates networking opportunities for California health care attorneys involved in all aspects of the industry including, hospitals, physicians and medical groups, health plans, research companies, nonprofit agencies, community clinics, government agencies, academia and more.

Ikels has an active litigation practice and is a frequent counselor, writer and speaker on topics with a particular emphasis in the healthcare, health tech and technology and telecommunications industries. She is scheduled to speak July 12 at the Bar Association of San Francisco on the topic, “Machine Learning and How It Will Impact Litigation” and will discuss the expected impact of these new developments from merger simulation, class actions and valuing intellectual property in litigation.

In addition to the CSHA, Ikels serves on the Executive Committee of the Litigation Section on the Bar Association of San Francisco, the American Constitution Society and the American Health Lawyers Association.
