Polsinelli welcomes Shareholder Gregory S. Jacobs and Associate Erin L. Felix to the firm’s growing national Government Contracts Practice. The pair is skilled in all areas of federal procurement and government contracts helping domestic and international clients navigate through complex litigation matters before government agencies, state and federal courts and administrative boards. Jacobs and Felix previously practiced together at an Am Law 100 firm.
“Erin and I are very excited about joining Polsinelli for a variety of reasons but in particular we look forward to collaborating with its experienced team of government contracts attorneys,” said Jacobs from his Washington, D.C. office. “We liked the firm’s business model, mix of practice expertise and geographic footprint in 19 cities including Dallas and Denver, which are key areas for our clients.”
Last year, Polsinelli greatly expanded its government contracts capabilities nationally with the addition of four experienced attorneys who are recognized leaders in their field and deeply connected in Washington, D.C. They include Daniel J. Donohue, a shareholder who focuses on government contract matters; Claude P. Goddard, a senior partner who assists clients on government contracts; Steven J. Weber, a shareholder who advises clients on government contracts and construction matters, and Walter A.I. Wilson, a senior partner who advises clients on government contract matters and now leads the practice group. Earlier this year the group further expanded with the addition of associate, Grace Aduroja.
Jacobs focuses on the industries of defense and aerospace, information technology, health care and manufacturing. He provides guidance on federal, state, and local contracts for large, highly-experienced contractors, as well as companies obtaining their first contracts. Felix brings a unique perspective to her Government Contracts Practice: for 15 years prior to practicing law, she managed government and commercial contracts and subcontracts for one of the largest defense contractors in the United States. This unique, hands-on experience in the government contracts industry allows her to ‘speak the client’s language’ and gives her an intimate understanding of contractors’ business priorities and challenges.
The addition of Jacobs and Felix occurs during an exciting period of overall growth for Polsinelli, which has seen its national footprint expand to 12 states and 19 cities. The Washington, D.C. office, which opened in 2005, was recently ranked (Tier 1) by US News-Best Lawyers: Best Law Firms, for government relations in the District of Columbia.
Polsinelli was recently recognized as the fastest-growing law firm in America for six years in a row, and moved up to become an AmLaw 100 firm, ranking in the #93 position. The American Lawyer Magazine featured Polsinelli in its June 2013 issue.
“Greg and I are very enthusiastic about the opportunity to join Polsinelli because it is a fast-growing firm that gives us the chance to work with a great mix of clients in a dynamic environment,” Felix said. “We look forward to growing with this experienced team that truly understands the government contracts process and looks out for the business interests of its clients.”
