St. Louis shareholder Jane Arnold has been named chair of Polsinelli’s national Women’s Initiative Committee. In the position, which is part of the firm’s leadership team, Arnold will work in tandem with the firm’s senior leadership and the director of diversity and inclusion to execute initiatives which attract, retain and promote the success of women throughout the firm’s 19 offices across the U.S.

“The Polsinelli Women’s Initiative Committee is a priority for our firm and demonstrates the deep commitment we have to the career development of our women attorneys,” said Polsinelli Chairman Russ Welsh. “Jane brings a wealth of invaluable experience, both as an attorney and mentor, to this leadership role. Under her guidance, Polsinelli will continue to build on its solid reputation as an employer of choice for women.”

Polsinelli’s long-standing commitment to women has earned the firm national recognition. This month, Law360 ranked Polsinelli among its 100 best U.S. law firms for women. This is the second year in a row the firm has made the list. In 2015, Polsinelli achieved Gold Standard Certification from the Women in Law Empowerment Forum (WILEF). The honor acknowledges firms that promote women as business leaders in the legal field. Polsinelli was one of only 44 firms in the U.S. recognized for its emphasis on women in leadership by WILEF.

“As a client-focused, business-driven firm, Polsinelli recognizes diversity in leadership simply makes good business sense,” said Arnold. “The Women’s Initiative Committee is just one of the many ways our firm works to ensure women lawyers have the training, mentorship and opportunities necessary to succeed.”

A practitioner with more than 20 years of experience, Arnold assists clients in the health care industry with transactional and regulatory matters, as well as structuring and operational advice. In addition, she serves as vice chair of Polsinelli’s national health care practice, working to grow and enhance the firm’s position as a leader in the industry. As chair of the Women’s Initiative Committee, which is in addition to her day-to-day responsibilities, Arnold will bring this same enthusiasm and drive for achieving success to the women attorneys at Polsinelli.

Arnold was selected as a recipient of the St. Louis Business Journal’s prestigious “40 Under 40" honor in 2005. She has been selected for inclusion in The Best Lawyers in America, Health Care Law from 2012 to 2016. Arnold is also the immediate past chair of the Board of Trustees of St. Louis College of Pharmacy.
