Polsinelli congratulates shareholder Paula Kim on her recent appointment to the Illinois Supreme Court Rules Committee. Illinois Supreme Court Justice Charles E. Freeman recommended the appointment. The Rules Committee studies and recommends new Supreme Court rules or modifications to existing rules. Appellate Judge John B. Simon chairs the Committee.

Kim, who also serves as President of the Korean American Bar Association of Chicago, replaces the late Appellate Judge Patrick J. Quinn on the Committee.

“I am humbled and honored to be given the opportunity to serve in this way,” said Kim, “And I am looking forward to learning from the other Committee members, all of whom are tremendously accomplished, and engaging with the public through the Committee’s hearing process.”

Kim graduated with a B.A. from the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign, received her law degree, cum laude, from De Paul University College of Law, and focuses her practice in the area of commercial litigation.
