Polsinelli welcomes three new attorneys to its Chicago office, continuing its growth here and across the country. The new Chicago attorneys are shareholders Chuck Katz and Scott M. Gilbert, as well as John Young who serves as counsel. The Chicago office opened in 2006 with just six attorneys, primarily in financial services, and has since expanded to 90 lawyers working in 12 practice areas providing a full range of services for clients. The Chicago office is part of the nationwide firm located in 18 cities with more than 695 attorneys.
“Our growth is strategic and deliberate,” said Polsinelli Chicago Managing Director Anthony J. Nasharr, who started the office in Chicago. “We continue to add attorneys who can meet our clients’ needs, offering practical legal guidance for better business decisions. In bringing aboard Chuck, Scott and John, we can offer broader and deeper experience not only to our Chicago clients but nationally, as well.”
Katz, who focuses his practice on public finance and tax law, brings more than 27 years of experience to the firm. Gilbert, a graduate of Loyola University Chicago School of Law, concentrates his work in the area of labor and employment, counseling clients on all facets of employment litigation as well as strategic challenges such as managing a reduction in force or complying with the Americans with Disabilities Act.
Young, who served as in-house counsel to one of the world’s largest renewable energy developers before joining Polsinelli, regularly advises clients on an extensive array of real estate and other matters.
