Polsinelli is pleased to announce that Polsinelli Los Angeles Managing Partner Lisa Greer Quateman has joined the Advisory Board of the UCLA Ziman Center for Real Estate. Quateman, who earned both undergraduate and law degrees at UCLA, is honored to give back to her alma mater.

“As a graduate of both the university and the law school, as well as someone who cares deeply about Los Angeles, I’m thrilled to be able to help influence and move the Ziman Center, along with other board members, on an innovative path that benefits the community as a whole,” said Quateman from her Century City office.

Quateman has had a long career in real estate, gaining recognition as a top transaction attorney. She is the managing partner of Polsinelli’s Los Angeles office and serves clients in capital markets transactions and regulatory matters. She has worked with public and private companies, management teams, entrepreneurs, property owners, nonprofit organizations, financial institutions, utilities and government entities. The Los Angeles Daily Journal selected Quateman as one of its Top Real Estate Attorneys in August in 2013.

The Ziman Center, a joint center of UCLA Anderson School of Management and UCLA School of Law, was formed in 2001 with a directive to create and steward UCLA's activities surrounding the topic of real estate. The real estate curriculum at the Ziman Center is considered to be among the best and most comprehensive in the world. The cutting edge research at the Ziman Center is followed widely and is frequently cited. The professional programs serve to advance knowledge creation and best practices in the industry. And, the activities of the Ziman Center, which range from addressing issues of affordable housing to sustainable urban design, are creating positive changes in society as a whole.

“We are excited to have Lisa’s leadership and passionate advocacy for the Ziman Center,” said Tim Kawahara, executive director of the Ziman Center. “As the first woman on the Advisory Board, Lisa’s engagement with both law and business students will illuminate a path for young women to model and emulate, both here locally and throughout the global community that the Ziman Center seeks to serve.”

Since merging with Quateman LLP in the spring of 2011, Polsinelli has steadily expanded its Los Angeles footprint and tripled the office size. The Los Angeles office has expanded to more than a dozen attorneys and moved into a new office space at 2049 Century Park East.

“We opened our LA office in July of 2011 to establish a West coast presence enabling the firm to offer better service offerings for our clients throughout California, the U.S., and internationally,” said Quateman. “Involvement with the Ziman Center, and other top organizations, is a reflection of the firm’s commitment to better serve our clients by understanding their business needs.”

The American Lawyer Magazine in its June 2013 issue recognized Polsinelli as the fastest-growing law firm in America.* In 2013, the firm moved up to the 69th position in The National Law Journal’s ranking of the largest U.S. based law firms. Los Angeles has been part of that growth and has added new attorneys in immigration; health care and corporate and transactional law to further expand the firm’s capabilities.
