Polsinelli Shareholder William Quick Honored by Kansas Bar Association with Outstanding Service Award
Polsinelli is proud to announce that Corporate and Transactional Shareholder William Quick has been selected to receive the 2017 Outstanding Service Award by the Kansas Bar Association (KBA). The award is given to attorneys or judges for their service to the legal profession and/or the KBA, and recognizes non-lawyers for especially meritorious deeds or service that significantly advance the administration of justice.
“Bill’s genuine commitment to the Kansas City community is what really sets him apart,” said Polsinelli Chairman Russ Welsh. “We’re proud of this honor that he is very deserving to receive.”
Established in 1971, the Outstanding Service Award recognizes KBA members whose law-related projects involve significant amounts of time, contribution toward the KBA that substantially exceeds normal expectations, work by a public official that advances the goals of the legal profession or KBA, and/or overall service to the legal profession and the KBA over an extended period.
The KBA presents the award to no more than six recipients annually. Quick will be recognized Thursday, June 8, at an awards luncheon in Manhattan, Kan.
Quick serves on the KBA Board of Governors, and is a past President of the Business, Banking and Corporations Section. He has served on and chaired several task forces and special study committees in the KBA.
At Polsinelli, Quick represents public and private businesses, nonprofits and associations, with special emphasis on the management of portfolio companies, strategic alliances and joint ventures. He focuses on transactions, corporate governance, asset and equity purchases, sales, mergers and acquisitions, and frequently counsels clients on the operation of substantial commercial real estate development and investment portfolios.
The Outstanding Service Award is added to Quick’s lengthy list of accomplishments, including recognition on Ingram’s Magazine’s “40 Under Forty” list, the “Up and Coming Lawyer” award by Missouri Lawyers Weekly and section in Missouri & Kansas Super Lawyers as a Rising Star twice.
