YouthBridge Community Foundation is pleased to announce the election of Lisa McLaughlin, shareholder and partner at Polsinelli PC, to its Governance Board.
McLaughlin brings more than 30 years of experience in estate planning, employing a full range of wealth planning techniques and experience to the board. She advises clients and tax-exempt entities with respect to charitable trusts, private foundations and other nonprofit entities, as well as individual gifting and planned-giving programs. Her practice also includes fiduciary litigation matters.
“YouthBridge is honored to welcome Lisa McLaughlin as a new board member. She brings diversity and experiences from her work in estate planning and philanthropy, which will further enhance the YouthBridge mission,” said Michael Howard, Chief Executive Officer of YouthBridge Community Foundation.
Bringing a wide-range of philanthropy experience to the board, McLaughlin has served on various nonprofit boards of local community organizations such as the Central Institute for the Deaf, Starkloff Disability Institute, Mary Institute and St. Louis Country Day School, Epworth Childrens’ and Family Services, Boys and Girls Town of Missouri, Gifted Resource Council, St. Louis Planned Giving Council and Campbell House Museum.
In addition to board affiliations, McLaughlin has also served on several planned giving committees for the Barnes-Jewish Hospital Foundation, Missouri Botanical Garden, St. Louis County Library Foundation, St. Louis Children’s Hospital and the St. Louis Art Museum.
McLaughlin has received several awards of distinction including being chosen as the Top Scoring Wealth Managers by St. Louis Magazine in 2010, selected for inclusion in The Best Lawyers in America 1995-2014 Trusts and Estates publication, as well as inclusion in the Missouri & Kansas City Super Lawyers 2005-2014 publication as one of the top 50 Women Attorneys.
