Polsinelli's complimentary 2014 Health Care Webinar Series continues with

Integrate. Collaborate. Learn. Using the National PSQIA Privilege to Improve Care and Reduce Liability

Wednesday, October 29, 2014

12:00 PM - 1:15 PM (Central)

Overview: Health systems, ambulatory care providers and pharmacists around the country are using the National PSQIA Privilege and Confidentiality protections to make transformational advances in the quality of patient care. Many health care providers are using the protections to create a learning system within the safety culture to establish high reliability organizations, to coordinate care, to reduce readmissions, to identify systems gaps and failures, and to bring peer review to ambulatory care settings to improve the quality of patient care. Learn how to use the privilege to share quality information to achieve specific quality improvement goals, and reduce health care costs, including malpractice operational costs. We will also discuss the growing body of case law that analyzes the privilege, and the impact of such case law on challenges to the privilege.

On our agenda:

  • PSQIA privilege - what it is and how it works
  • How to use the privilege to establish innovative coordinated care programs
  • Using the PSO protections to accelerate the development of new provider-driven opportunities for improvement that improve care and reduce costs including the risk of penalties

  • Peggy Binzer, Shareholder, Polsinelli
