Paul Franke joined the Water Collaborative Delivery Association to provide risk management training to King County, Washington’s Water and Waste-Water Division. King County encompasses the City of Seattle and surrounding communities. The training focused on the various types of contract delivery mechanisms - from traditional design-bid-build to collaborative delivery solutions such as progressive design build and GC/CM delivery models. The team discussed the various risks associated with each type of delivery model and how risks can be allocated between the owner and contractor/design builder based on the delivery methodology.
