This session will review how the new administration has and will continue to affect the risks and opportunities available to federally insured financial institutions, and other providers of financial products and services. Changes in regulatory attitudes on such issues as mergers, availability of credit, consumer protection and risk management, are having a significant impact on the decisions that institutions’ management must make. This segment will focus on the Small Business Administration, the Prudential Regulators (OCC, FDIC, Federal Reserve Board), the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau and the possible increased role of state attorneys general.
