Alexander Barton believes in listening to clients in order to efficiently tailor his services to their needs. With good business sense and a wide range of interests and experience, Alex understands the broader context of a client's business and how real estate transactions fit in. In addition, his pragmatic approach to solving problems makes him an excellent counselor in the face of adversity.

Alex’s areas of focus include:

  • Commercial real estate transactions
  • Real estate acquisitions and dispositions, development, leasing, and finance
  • Working closely with the firm’s health care group in real estate-related aspects of the broader health care industry

Alex’s background includes representing lenders in acquisition and construction loans, mezzanine loans and loan workouts; representing developers in acquisitions, dispositions, financing, construction, and leasing; and representing tenants and landlords in all stages of commercial, industrial, and retail lease transactions.

Prior to returning to his home state of Colorado in 2010, Alex practiced commercial real estate law in New York City.

  • Worked with a team of real estate colleagues to guide the real estate aspects of a billion dollar health care system acquisition.
