Aaron Mohr is committed to understanding the ever-changing health care landscape and clients’ unique challenges. Aaron counsels clients on Stark Law, Anti-Kickback Statute, Medicare and Medicaid compliance, individual and facility licensure, accreditation, fee-splitting laws, employment and professional services agreements, pharmacy law, HIPAA, and other health care matters. He represents hospitals, long-term care facilities, pharmacies, infusion centers, ambulatory surgery centers, physician groups, private equity fund investors in all of the above, and individual health care professionals in mergers, acquisitions, joint ventures, and other strategic transactions.

Aaron’s previous experience at two multi-state regional health systems, including academic medical centers, allows him to draw on a hands-on knowledge of health care compliance, regulations, transactions, and industry trends.

  • Represented an urban health system in the acquisition of multiple surgery centers and ancillary service business lines from a specialty physician group; assisted in the drafting and negotiation of a master professional services agreement between the same parties
  • Represented a private equity fund in acquiring a stake in a fast-growing dental service/support organization
  • Represented a health system and a long-term care company in the formation of a joint venture involving existing and proposed businesses, asset transfers, and real estate transfers; represented the resulting joint venture in achieving its strategic goals
  • Represented a rural hospital in the sale of its assets to a tribally-managed health system
  • Represented a multi-state regional health system in the acquisition of a critical access hospital
  • Represented a variety of solo practitioners in the acquisition of other small practices
  • Assisted a health system in overhauling its comprehensive quality oversight and peer review processes
  • Advised several hospitals and health systems regarding their post-acute care, discharge, and compliance strategies
  • Represented multiple hospitals in the acquisition of, or joint ventures in, ambulatory surgery centers
