Alexandra (Ali) Renes has experience working with a broad range of clients in complex real estate transactions, including REITs and other institutional investors in complex commercial real estate transactions. Ali works with a variety of clients to provide support and guidance throughout all phases of a transaction, from conducting due diligence to negotiating documents to coordinating closing.

Ali has worked extensively on the acquisition, financing and disposition of real estate assets, including retail, hospitality and industrial properties, for those clients. In connection with the sale of shopping centers and distribution centers, she has drafted both short term and long term leases for those spaces. Additionally, she has negotiated franchise and management agreements for clients in the hospitality and gaming industries.

• Represented casinos in disposition of real property and in leasing matters.

• Represented privately held corporation in the purchase of multiple golf courses and health clubs.

• Represented stadium authority in connection with the development of a professional sports stadium.

• Represented investment firm in the acquisition of a mixed use retail, residential and office outdoor shopping center.

• Member of team that represented investment firm in the creation of a real estate investment trust in connection with a 250+ hotel portfolio.

• Represented large retailer in the disposition of a regional supermarket portfolio to multiple buyers.

• Member of team that represented a public company in the acquisition of hotel operating company and fee interest of 200+ hotels together with the negotiation of franchise and management agreements.

• Represented borrowers and lenders in connection with secured real estate financings, including securitizations.

• Represented pro bono clients in SIJS and asylum hearings.
