Allison K. Sonneveld is an experienced litigator focusing primarily on toxic torts, products liability and premises liability litigation. As national counsel for a global corporation, Allison coordinates the defense strategy of all asbestos claims pending nationwide including retaining and directing local counsel and working with local counsel to jointly developing defense strategy in accordance with the corporation’s business interests and the jurisdictions’ local customs.

Allison’s extensive experience in asbestos litigation has allowed her to develop relationships with many of the key players in asbestos litigation and has given her a comprehensive knowledge of the litigation allowing her to advise clients on strategies to defend claims in cost-effective ways to best serve each client’s business goals. Allison acts as local counsel for several auto manufacturers and manages hundreds of claims in several jurisdictions. She handles all aspects of litigation including developing case defense strategy and determining case budgets, conducting depositions of fact and expert witnesses, drafting and arguing dispositive motions, as well as handling settlement negotiations. In addition to a large asbestos practice, Allison has experience in handling cases involving exposures to benzene, diacetyl and manganese, as well as explosions and product defect cases.
