Brea Croteau focuses her practice on internal investigations and white collar crime. She represents corporations and individuals in federal and state regulatory investigations and enforcement matters. Brea’s experience includes assisting clients in responding to government investigations based on alleged violations of civil and criminal laws, including the False Claims Act, and representing both plaintiffs and defendants in a wide variety of civil litigation matters including breach of contract, business torts, fraud and misrepresentation claims.

Prior to joining Polsinelli, Brea practiced as an attorney in the Atlanta offices of two international law firms, and also served as an extern for the United States Attorney’s Office for the Northern District of Georgia.

  • Conducted an internal investigation for a federal government contractor into False Claims Act allegations and possible breaches of internal policies and procedures.
  • Member of an independent compliance monitor and auditor team for a Fortune 10 auto manufacturer that oversees the company’s compliance with Plea Agreement and Consent Decree obligations arising from parallel criminal and civil cases involving fraud and environmental violations.
