Blake delivers a range of legal services during the life cycle of a real estate transaction – from letters of intent, all the way through contract negotiation, due diligence, financing, and closing. Participate in the entire life cycle of real estate asset acquisitions, dispositions, leasing, financing, and refinancing to include joint venture negotiation and documentation, and negotiating purchase and sale agreements, conveyance documents, commercial leases and loan documents with a focus on achieving the client’s best outcomes and finding practical solutions to issues that arise during the negotiation cycle.
Provide comprehensive due diligence analysis, conducting the review and solving issues related to title and survey, and spotting issues pertaining to environmental, zoning and other matters.
Represented large private equity firm in the $100 million acquisition of an office park in Herndon, Virginia.
Represented a new joint venture in the $46 million acquisition and financing of four limited service hotels in the Mobile, Alabama metropolitan area.
Represented real estate investment company in the sale of a luxury boutique hotel in Washington, D.C., which was, at the time, the second-highest "price per key" hotel transaction in D.C. history.
Represented a private equity firm in the $95 million sale of a Class-A office building in Washington, D.C.
