Brian Anderson is counsel in the Hatch-Waxman Litigation and Opinion practice. With over 17 years of experience focused on health care and life sciences, he is committed to providing strategic legal advice on intellectual property and life science regulatory issues. He has extensive experience litigating and advising on patent, trademark and trade secret actions, with a particular emphasis on Hatch-Waxman/ANDA, medical device, and biosimilar patent litigation in district courts across the country, as well as in the ITC, PTAB and EPO.

Prior to joining Polsinelli, Brian served in executive legal positions at two of the largest generic and branded biopharmaceutical companies in the world. These included positions as Vice President, Intellectual Property – Global Generics for a leading generic pharmaceutical company, and most recently as Vice President & Assistant General Counsel – IP Litigation for a leading branded pharmaceutical and medical aesthetics company. In these roles, Brian managed hundreds of litigations as both plaintiff and defendant, through all stages of litigation. He negotiated and executed numerous settlement agreements, strategized regulatory action, and advised C-suite executives on all aspects of intellectual property policy and strategy. Brian’s rare combination of outside and inside counsel experience affords him a unique perspective on complex legal matters, and allows him to anticipate clients’ needs and provide unique insights, advice and strategies.
