Cate Green knows how important sound advice and strategy are to a successful enterprise. As an associate in the Commercial Litigation practice, Cate partners with Polsinelli’s seasoned attorneys to provide practical litigation strategies that offer a comprehensive approach based on legal, economic and industry trends. She is dedicated to understanding challenges from the client’s perspective and executing litigation strategies that align with their broader business objectives. 

Cate’s practice centers on representing businesses, organizations, and individuals in commercial litigation matters and disputes. Cate has experience preparing for and taking depositions, tackling complex legal issues, conducting efficient discovery, and managing pre-trial litigation strategy. Her areas of experience include complex breach of contract litigation, data breach litigation, and estate, trust and fiduciary litigation. 

In close collaboration with attorneys from other Polsinelli practices across the country, Cate and the entire attorney team provide counsel that is grounded in solid business acumen and addresses the immediate litigation matter at hand, while keeping in mind the long-term impact of critical legal decisions made today.

  • Representation of U.S. companies involved in data security incidents.
  • Representation of companies in Telephone Consumer Protection Act and similar state law causes of action. 
  • Defense of various class action lawsuits. 
  • Assisted in defense of numerous breach-of-contract and business tort cases in state and federal courts across the country on behalf of payment card processors and acquiring banks.
  • Defense of case alleging antitrust violations due to hospital affiliations and acquisitions.
  • Represented hospitals challenging third-party subpoenas requesting competitively sensitive information in antitrust litigation.  
  • Guided client in efficient resolution of third-party subpoena.
