Caitlin Morgan focuses on finding creative solutions to complex problems. Her clients count on her guidance through all stages of litigation, from complex electronic discovery issues through dispositive motions, trial, and appeal. Caitlin works closely with her clients to understand their business objectives and develop an efficient and cost-effective way to achieve those goals.

Caitlin focuses in sports litigation, class actions, multidistrict litigation (MDL), and commercial business disputes, including breach of contract, breach of fiduciary duty, and shareholder disputes. She has managed cases in both state and federal court through all stages of litigation. Caitlin also has represented clients in a wide variety of industries, including sports and technology. She has been recognized as a Rising Star by Texas Super Lawyers since 2014.
  • Successfully obtained mandamus relief for collegiate athletic conference asserting dominant jurisdiction in alternative forum, effectively terminating litigation. 
  • Representing collegiate sports conferences in multiple class actions and appeals that challenge NCAA rules related to student-athlete financial aid.
  • Representing aviation company in dispute with business partner.
  • Successfully represented sports media rights holder in six day arbitration against broadcaster regarding contract dispute.
  • Represented aviation manufacturing company in contract dispute through all phases of litigation, including substantial discovery and motion practice.
  • Managed large class action and multidistrict litigation cases from inception through discovery, trial, and appeal.
  • Regularly advise technology clients on areas related to contract disputes and disputes with licensees.
  • Successfully obtained pre-suit deposition orders for clients to investigate potential claims prior to filing a lawsuit.

  • After a nearly year-long dispute in both state and bankruptcy court, successfully obtained settlement with hotel management company resolving all claims for breach of contract, fiduciary duty, and negligent misrepresentation.
  • After months of heated motion practice and discovery disputes, leveraged a multi-million dollar settlement for assisted nursing facility providers in case involving breach of contract and federal discrimination.
  • Provided advice to client – a private college – as to how best to manage a potential whistleblower claim to avoid litigation. No litigation was commenced.
  • Successfully negotiated settlement of oil and gas lease dispute with large oil and gas company in case involving breach of contract and suit on sworn account.
  • Filed suit after negotiations with landlord broke down which positioned client to obtain a very favorable settlement in pro bono matter involving breach of lease agreement and violations of Texas landlord-tenant law.
