Charles (“Chuck”) Sheets is an active member of the health law community, staying up to date on all the emerging trends and changing legal landscape. 

He concentrates his practice on government regulation, transactions and litigation for builders and operators of hospitals, nursing homes, surgical centers, assisted living facilities, and other health care providers. His clients also include Counties, senior housing trade Associations, senior housing lenders, intermediate care facilities for the developmentally and/or mentally disabled, skilled pediatric facilities, ambulatory surgery centers, therapy companies and construction companies.

Chuck’s health law, governmental, and regulatory background includes experience handling in Medicare and Medicaid certification and reimbursement disputes before the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services, licensure disputes with state licensing agencies, certificate of need issues, as well as compliance issues before the Office of Inspector General and the Department of Housing and Urban Development. His transactional experience includes navigating the regulatory hurdles for Counties divesting older and non-profitable nursing facilities as well as handling sales and foreclosures of distressed health care properties.  His wealth of experience is sought after across the state; he has lectured on the certification and regulatory processes of the federal and state regulatory agencies in Illinois.
