Cori Leonard Young’s practice has focused on commercial mortgage-backed securities (CMBS) and Freddie Mac (CME) servicing in the last 19 years, and there isn’t much she hasn’t seen when it comes to servicing issues. Her strong real estate background – 15 years as a general real estate law practitioner before shifting focus – coupled with her knowledge of CMBS, CME and general lending practices and standards give her a perspective that her clients count on for coming up with solid advice and innovative solutions to almost any servicing transaction issues.
  • Structured, negotiated, and documented loan originations, assumptions and consent transaction for CMBS, CME and life insurance company lender clients, including acting as lead counsel in assumption and restructuring of multiple $1 billion plus multi-tranched loans secured by Manhattan office buildings and another $2.7 billion loan secured by three portfolios of hotels located across the U.S.
  • Represented national REIT borrower in mulit-million dollar refinance of the Country Club Plaza in Kansas City, Mo.
  • Represented national owner/manager of golf courses in acquisition and leasing of numerous golf courses throughout the United States.
  • Served as lead outside real estate counsel for leading national restaurant franchisor.
  • Served as lead outside real estate counsel for national hardware company in its leasing, acquisition, and disposition of retail sites across the United States, as well as in two major reorganizations.
  • Represented national REIT in disposition of shopping center and multi-family portfolios.
  • Represented national REIT in retail and office leasing.
