Daniel is an experienced transactional attorney who advises private equity sponsors and public and private companies on mergers, acquisitions, investments and dispositions as well as on general corporate matters, including governance and securities law compliance.  He has advised clients on complex deals ranging in size from tens of millions to more than a billion dollars in a diverse range of industries, including:

  • airlines; 
  • technology;
  • health care;
  • manufacturing;
  • real estate;
  • travel and leisure;
  • chemicals; and
  • financial services.

He provides clients with advice on all aspects of their transactions, from pre- commitment to execution and ultimate exit.

Daniel also regularly advises sponsors, investors and other joint venture partners in connection with the formation, structuring and negotiation of complex, strategic joint ventures for the purpose of acquiring, developing and operating various classes of real estate assets in the United States and abroad, including:

  • office building;
  • industrial;
  • self-storage;
  • health care;
  • medical office building;
  • multi-family;
  • mobile home;
  • student housing;
  • senior housing;
  • retail; and 
  • mixed-use properties.

He has significant experience with a broad range of complex real estate investment vehicles, types and structures, including multi-tiered joint ventures, co-general partner and co-development partner arrangements, programmatic joint venture structures and preferred equity investments.

Daniel began his legal career in the New York office of an international law firm based in Houston, Texas where he represented private equity firms in connection with their investments, with a primary focus on distressed and special situations.
