Hannah Ji is dedicated to understanding each client’s business model, practices, and objectives to help them protect and profit from their investment in a variety of technologies. She utilizes her experience to advise a wide variety of industries including global manufacturers, health care conglomerates, sourcing providers, retail companies, and global online businesses. Hannah frequently represents clients on privacy and data security, trademark, copyright, and various intellectual property matters. 

Her practice also focuses on: 
  • Developing privacy policies and terms of use agreements for websites, mobile and e-commerce applications
  • Guiding cross-border data transfer management in both transactional and litigational contexts
  • Providing counsel on CAN-SPAM, COPPA and other state and federal privacy law compliance issues
  • Conducting risk assessments and privacy due diligence for various corporate transactions, including mergers and acquisitions
  • Responding to governmental inquires resulting from data breaches, conducting internal investigations, and analyzing potential cyber liabilities
  • Negotiating complex technology agreements, cloud computing agreements, hosted service agreements and software licensing agreements
  • Prosecuting U.S. trademarks and coordinating international trademark filings
  • Analyzing comprehensive and knock-out trademark clearance searches
  • Assisting clients in acquiring infringing domain registrations through Uniform Domain-Name Dispute-Resolution Policy (UDRP) and Uniform Rapid Suspension System (URS) proceedings

Hannah has extensive privacy certifications, including:
  • Fellow of Information Privacy (FIP)
  • Certified Information Privacy Professional; U.S. Private Sector (CIPP/US), Europe (CIPP/E), Canada (CIPP/C), Asia (CIPP/A)
  • Certified Information Privacy Manager (CIPM)
