As an Associate in the Intellectual Property practice, Hannah Yang works with seasoned Polsinelli attorneys in serving our clients’ full range of IP needs, and is dedicated to helping them tackle and solve issues related to the establishment and protection of their intellectual property. 

Hannah assists our attorneys with handling the most complex issues facing technology and high tech companies, bioscience and life sciences companies, animal science, medical device, pharmaceutical, chemical, software and business methods, data, privacy, health care IT, and any of a variety of other high tech industries.

Hannah has represented a variety of clients involving patents and various claims of unfair competition. These include patent matters involving global positioning and location based technologies, firewalls, high performance computing, and electro-static discharge. Hannah has also represented companies with respect to claims of trademark infringement, trafficking of counterfeit goods, and claims of unfair competition at the state level including deceptive and misleading advertising claims as well as under Section 17200 of the California Business and Professions Code. Hannah has served as second chair in federal trademark cases in various jurisdictions throughout the United States involving one of the largest global manufacturers of computer software as well a leading manufacturer of multimedia application software.  Hannah’s involvement in these matters included preparation and defense of critical party representatives at deposition as well as the taking of depositions for the purpose of subsequent motions for summary judgment.  Hannah also formulated the discovery strategy related to eliciting testimony from of one of the largest casino operators in the country, resulting in the dismissal of a long running unfair competition dispute with prejudice which had involved actions before the District Court of Nevada, the United States International Trade Commission, as well as the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office.

Hannah also has unique experience with online defamation claims as well as actions involving slander of title. Hannah also maintains an active copyright defense practice.
