James (Brandon) Bickerton has significant experience assisting clients on their transactional and tax controversy needs. Prior to joining Polsinelli, Brandon was a senior tax consultant at a Big 4 accounting firm. There, he advised clients on a wide range of issues, including corporate mergers and acquisitions, international tax, and tax controversy. 

Brandon strives to help businesses and individuals identify legal solutions to resolve their tax issues and meet their business objectives.

Brandon has experience advising U.S. and foreign multinational corporations on tax planning strategies and matters, including capital structure planning, foreign tax strategies, tax compliance matters, and implementing holding company structures for foreign operations. 

Brandon’s practice also includes representing clients in IRS examinations and appeals and assisting clients with administrative protests and voluntary disclosure agreements before state and local tax authorities across the United States.
