James Bergin is committed to understanding the industry in which each client operates. As a Shareholder in the real estate practice, clients rely on James to analyze and develop responses to transactional and development related matters. James applies his background in real estate matters to identify and address potential complications that clients might encounter during the transaction process. He has experience working with clients in a variety of industries on projects across the country. Whether a matter is specific to office leases, shopping centers, or mixed-use development, his extensive experience is an asset for each client’s arsenal. Prior to beginning practice, James clerked for the Honorable Duane Benton of the U.S. Court of Appeals, Eighth Circuit.
  • Represented a client in the development and leasing of a 106-acre shopping center, including subsequent sales of portions of the project
  • Represented a client in the development of a multi-phased $180 million mixed use development including apartments, two 100-room hotels, conference center, medical office building, and restaurants
