Jacob F. Blumert is an associate in the Intellectual Property practice. His practice primarily focuses on the preparation and prosecution of U.S. patents, risk assessment, and opinion work. Jacob works closely with clients to prepare strategies for protecting their intellectual property, including filing patent applications with the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO). With an understanding of the client’s business, Jacob evaluates and proposes strategies for mitigating risks related to competitors’ intellectual property rights. Jacob’s experience also includes:

  • Identifying potential patent risks
  • Drafting opinion letters
  • Research and analysis of statutes, regulations, and USPTO rules
