Before lending institutions become financially involved in complex construction and permanent real estate financing transactions, they seek John Healy’s counsel. Through him, financiers have secured their transactions with hotels, shopping centers, office buildings, nursing home facilities, apartment complexes, and other commercial projects throughout the United States. John also represents borrowers and lenders in bond financing of real estate and other commercial projects.
John has been on both sides of real estate transactions, representing commercial landlords and tenants in long-term office, industrial, and shopping center leases. As real estate counsel to a national telecommunications provider of PCS telephone service, John has negotiated nearly 100 leases and site agreements in connection with launching its PCS network in the Kansas City, Wichita, Kan., and Topeka, Kan., markets.
