Jason P. Katz is committed to efficiently guiding clients through significant transactions while advancing their business goals and protecting their interests.  He provides strategic counsel to public and provide companies on a wide range of domestic and international corporate matters, including mergers and acquisitions, debt and equity financings, strategic investments, and joint ventures. He has represented clients across various industries, including telecommunications, pharmaceuticals, software, insurance, apparel and manufacturing.

Jason is well versed in domestic and cross-border purchase/sale transactions, including counseling international clients in connection with purchasing and selling U.S.-based assets. He has extensive experience drafting and negotiating complex agreements and helping clients find pragmatic solutions to legal and business challenges.

Jason regularly advises start-up companies and investors in venture capital transactions, early-stage financings and strategic exits, including multi-national corporations in strategic investments.

  • Represented insurance technology start-up in multiple debt and equity financing transactions, including $82 million Series D round.

  • Represented leading Indian pharmaceutical manufacturer in the acquisition of a prescription drug in a Chapter 11 bankruptcy auction.

  • Represented Finnish provider of video and broadband technologies and related services in its U.S.-based joint venture.
  • Represented former provider of telecommunications services and owner and operator of submarine communications cable systems in $165 million refinancing transaction secured by assets in multiple countries.
  • Represented telecommunications company in connection with $70 million senior credit facility and sale of $34 million of subordinated notes, as well as subsequent refinancing transaction.
